Thomas E. Stutz, 77, of Harrison City, died unexpectedly as a result of a vehicle accident, on Thursday, October 14, 2021. He was born on July 7, 1944 in Jeannette, to the late William and Marjorie Stutz. Tom was a US Navy Seabee in the Vietnam War. After coming home from the service to his country, he began his decades long service to his community. He was a 56-year member of Manor American Legion Post 472, had a 56-year history with the Manor Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of both the Westmoreland County Fireman's Association and Westmoreland County Mohawk Association. Tom was a long-time member of First United Church of Christ in Harrison City and held leadership positions of Elder and Deacon. He was also a 54-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia A. (Berlin) Stutz; three loving children, Shereen S. (Kevin Trenney) Stutz, Greg T. Stutz, and Wendy S. (husband James) Tatters; two granddaughters, Kaylee and Jocelyn Tatters; brother, William (late Kathleen) Stutz; sister-in-law, Charlene (late Fred) Berlin; special neighbor and friend, Ron Standley; and several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a sister, Georgann Stutz. Friends will be received Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery - Denmark Manor.
