George B. Haines, age 90 of Turtle Creek, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 18, 1931 to the late Paul and Flora Haines.
George was a big Pittsburgh Pirates fan and a fanatic about keeping his car clean. George loved modern day technology, especially T.V and stereo equipment, however he hated robo calls. He worked for US Steel as a brick mason for 35 years and drove school buses for the Woodland Hills School District after he retired, which is ironic, considering he wasn't a big fan of children. George was a good-hearted man that loved his family, neighbors, his sports and his car. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
George is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ann Haines; sons, William (Rebecca) Hampshire and Derrick (Brenda) Haines; daughters, Georgina (Dave) Zeminski, Kathy (Ron) Veitch, Marla (Paul) Mallich, and Sherry (John) Good; grandchildren, Robert (Brittany Scolieri) Hampshire, Alexis (Todd) Van Der Bogart and Ariel (Eric) Jenkins, John (Laine) Mallich, Nicole Lewis, Rachel Lipko, and Phillip Lipko, Joey Pershing, Alicia Veitch and Tristan Veitch, Danielle (Ken) Buzzard, Wayne (Brenda) Rugh and Chuck (Tonya) Rugh; great-grandchildren, Aria and Eric Jenkins, Cora and Olivia Van Der Bogart, Isaiah, Carter, and Giainni Mallich, Monica and Melissa Lewis, Skylar Lilliock, Landon Ross, Bryson Veitch, Kendall Buzzard, Alexis Tampana, and Tyler, Nathan and Madison Rugh. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bill and Jean.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021, 7:00-8:00 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a blessing service will immediately follow.
