Elizabeth (Sosinski) Niemiec

Elizabeth (Sosinski) Niemiec, 97, of Claridge, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022. She was born July 3, 1924, in Claridge, to Joseph and Marcianna (Nolencz) Sosinski. She was an active member of St. Barbara Church, Young at Heart and the Polish National Alliance. She loved vegetable and flower gardening, baking and cooking. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Frank Joseph Niemiec. She is survived by her children, John (the late Rosemary) Niemiec, Joseph (Patricia) Niemiec, Frank (Christine) Niemiec and Richard (Cinthia) Niemiec; grandchildren, Adam Niemiec, Rachel Niemiec, Eric (Kristen) Niemiec, Marina Niemiec, Joseph Niemiec, Stephanie (Nathan) Stempfer, Richard Niemiec, Jr. and Brian Niemiec; great-grandchildren, Nicolas Joseph Niemiec and Mia Isabella Niemiec; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by siblings, Edmund, Edna, Joseph, Alexander, Monica, Leonard, Kathryn, Henry, Stella and Helen. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City (724-744-2721). Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City, with Father Michael P. Sikon, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Barbara Cemetery.
